We are all familiar with the concept of conversation. In a healthy conversation of two (or more) people, one person shares thoughts, ideas, dreams, frustrations, etc. and the other person listens and responds. Both parties are valued and both parties feel a mutual love and respect for each other, regardless of whether they agree with each other not.
Seventeen years ago, a young Togolese college student landed in Cleveland, TN seeking political asylum. Through a series of divine events, he met and found help from a few peers and a professor at Lee University. My husband was one of them.
