In the beginning was the Word and the Word was God. The Word came to the world. It took on the earthinesss and grittiness of humanity. The Word gave those who would believe in the character and the goodness of God, the right to become children of God. The Word revealed God’s glory, His supreme goodness to a fallen people in active rebellion against their Maker. The Word allowed us to see in human flesh, for the first time, the very thing Moses cried out for: the glory of God.
